The casts of “Saturday Night Live” and “30 Rock” are mounting stage versions of their shows, which have been knocked off the air by a writers strike, The Post has learned.
The productions will be staged at a small theater in Chelsea.
The “30 Rock” performance, set for Monday night, has already sold out at the 150-seat Upright Citizens Brigade Theater on West 22nd Street.
But the stage version of “Saturday Night Live” – which will be performed at the same theater Saturday night – has been kept something of a secret.
It’s not clear who will get a chance to buy tickets and when they’ll be on sale. The guest host will be “Superbad” star Michael Cera, sources told The Post.
The theater last night declined to confirm any information about the shows, although its Web site carries a promo for the “30 Rock” performance.
Proceeds from the sale of tickets to “30 Rock” – priced at a modest $20 – will go to the Writers Guild strike fund, the Web site says.
The writers’ strike, which began 10 days ago, immediately shut down production of “SNL” and “30 Rock” because so many of the stars also write the shows.
