BX. FIEND SHOT, CUT UP AND DUMPED MA, BRO: COPS

A Bronx man was arrested yesterday after admitting to shooting his mother and brother in the head, then “cutting them up” and tossing their remains into the Harlem River, cops said.

Lamar Platt, 24, confessed that he killed Marlene Platt, 45, and Nashawn Platt, 22, inside their apartment at 1061 University Ave. in Morris Heights about a week ago and threw their remains into the river near Roberto Clemente State Park.

Over a three-day period, he used a shopping cart to bring the body parts to the park, a source said.

Cops scoured the park and the river last night, but found nothing. Detectives did find traces of blood inside the apartment.

Marlene’s mother tried repeatedly to call her daughter on Nov. 19 for her birthday, but no one answered the phone.

Fay Lewin, a friend of Marlene, said her pal had called her the night before at 10:30 p.m. “petrified” because her son was “acting crazy.”

Marlene’s mother, uncle and brother visited her Sunday and found no one home. Lamar allegedly confessed to cops Sunday night to shooting them once each in the head. Platt was arrested last Wednesday and charged with gun possession – the weapon that turned out to be the one he said he allegedly used to kill his mother and brother days earlier.
