FASHION DISTRICT MALLS
Chainlet of mid-range outlet malls, with the best of its outposts just outside Rome’s city limits. There are several dozen different labels all selling off-price merch, from old-school designers like cashmere specialist Malo or Gianfranco Ferre to funkier, younger labels like Fornarina and Byblos Blu.
Expect cheaper prices than the other spots, but also hordes more fellow shoppers.

THE MALL
Like Century 21-meets-Palm Beach’s Worth Avenue, these ultra-upscale outlets sit clustered together in an odd little mall in the middle of the countryside.
There are Gucci group bargains, including the main line, Bottega Veneta, McQueen and McCartney, as well as classic labels like Zegna and Balenciaga.
The selection here’s usually last season but reliable, and includes more than just the stock boutiques couldn’t sell. Up to 60 percent off.

FENDI / DOLCE & GABBANA
These twin outlets sit opposite one another about a mile from The Mall (you can detour to them easily en route by following the signs).
Like other designer outlets, the Fendi spot is unprepossessing at first glance. Persevere, though, as the fur’n’leather label’s treasures inside are terrific (expect up to 50 percent markdowns on everything from belts to alligator skin clutches).
Dolce’s two-story outpost is surprisingly compact – and a little heavy on kitschier styles – but still worth a rummage.

ROBERTO CAVALLI OUTLET
If you couldn’t face the sharp-elbows at H&M a couple of weeks ago for Cavalli’s signature animal print and slashed-to-here dresses, hit his outlet which sells the main line designs at up to 70 percent off. There are a few accessories (belts, bags) alongside his womenswear collection.
