BROOKLYN
A man was shot in Brownsville early yesterday, police said.
The 27-year-old victim took several bullets to the torso on St. Johns Place near Rochester Avenue at around 4 a.m., cops said.
Police found the victim and called EMS, which rushed him to Kings County Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.
An ex-con stabbed a man to death in Brownsville, police said yesterday.
Robert Jenkins, 49, allegedly knifed 34-year-old Roy Hodge on Roosevelt Place near Herkimer Street at 8:20 p.m. Friday, cops said.
Hodge was rushed to Brookdale Hospital where he died at 8:47 p.m., police said. Jenkins was arrested immediately.
Both men have criminal records.
Hodge had been busted for sex abuse, rape and failing to register as a sex offender.
Jenkins has served three prison terms totaling seven years for manslaughter, grand larceny and attempted robbery, according to state prison records.
A shouting match led to bloodshed when one man stabbed another in Bay Ridge, police sources said yesterday.
The 23-year-old victim left a nearby club shortly before he was sliced in the back on 94th Street near Fourth Avenue at 3 a.m. Friday, the sources said.
He was taken to Lutheran Hospital in stable condition.
Police yesterday identified the teen who was fatally knifed while trying to mug another youth in Midwood.
Marcell Dawes, 14, was stabbed in the chest while allegedly attempting to hold up another 14-year-old in Kolbert Park on East 18th Street near Avenue L and Edward R. Murrow HS at 3:50 p.m. Friday, cops said.
When Dawes and an accomplice approached the mugging victim, the victim’s friend intervened, police said.
After being hit by one of the muggers, the victim’s friend, 15, stabbed Dawes to death, authorities said.
Dawes was taken to a Community Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 4:37 p.m.
Dawes’ accomplice was arrested and charged with burglary as a juvenile.
The mugging victim’s friend surrendered to authorities, but was not immediately charged.
THE BRONX
A man was in critical condition after being shot in the lobby of an apartment building on Lafayette Avenue near Hunts Point Avenue yesterday, police said.
The unidentified man, found shortly before 5 p.m., was taken to Lincoln Hospital.
Investigators said they knew had no lead on either a suspect or a motive.
Police are asking for the public’s assistance in finding a patient who vanished from Jacobi Hospital in Morris Park.
Jaime Boxer , 26, was last seen on the Jacobi campus on Pelham Parkway near Eastchester Road at 3:45 a.m. Wednesday, cops said.
Boxer stands 5-foot-5, weighs 300 pounds and has black hair and gray eyes, police said.
A Pelham Bay man was nabbed for stabbing another man, police sources said yesterday.
Julio Munoz, 22, allegedly knifed the 28-year-old victim four times on Pelham Parkway South near Wallace Avenue at 12:10 a.m. Friday, the sources said.
The victim was rushed to Jacobi Hospital with wounds in his right arm, left arm and left side of his chest. Munoz was arrested and charged with assault, authorities said.
STATEN ISLAND
A teenager was shot by a mystery gunman in Arlington, police sources said yesterday.
The 19-year-old victim took a bullet to the right hand behind a building on Holland Avenue near Richmond Terrace at 4:20 p.m. Friday, the sources said.
He was taken to Richmond Memorial Hospital in stable condition.
Police are investigating the death of a woman found in a Concord motel.
An employee of the Staten Island Motor Inn, at 481 Hylan Blvd., came across an unconscious Michelle Bestanzi, 23, in a room there Thursday and called the cops.
Bestanzi was pronounced dead shortly after that. The medical examiner has scheduled an autopsy for this week to determine the cause of death.
QUEENS
Police are searching for the thief who broke into a Jamaica bodega last week and made off with cash from both the register and a cigar box kept below the register.
An employee of the Cibao grocery store, on 122nd Avenue and 188th Street, called the police Wednesday morning after noticing that there was a tear in the rooftop and that the money was missing.
