Sean Taylor’s half-sister believes she may have unwittingly told her brother’s alleged killers that the NFL star would be an easy robbery target, a pal told The Post.
Sasha Johnson, 21, has been an emotional wreck since the 24-year-old Washington Redskins safety was gunned down in his own home, the victim of an apparent botched robbery, the friend said.
Johnson has acknowledged that she regularly bragged about Sean Taylor’s expensive home in suburban Miami – and the fact that he’s rarely there during football season.
When she threw a birthday party for herself at his mansion while house-sitting over Thanksgiving, at least some of his alleged killers were there, sources said.
“Sasha was hysterical [after the shooting], but she’s been cooperating with police. She feels really guilty that she may have indirectly allowed this to happen,” said Janice Burton Sharpstein, a close friend of Taylor.
“Sasha has been very vocal about her famous half-brother, his big beautiful house and all the expensive stuff he had.”
None of the suspects believed Taylor would be home late Sunday night when they broke in and killed him, cops said.
Sasha Johnson’s boyfriend is Christopher Wardlow, the cousin of suspect Charles Wardlow.
Yesterday, Taylor’s team played its first game since the fatal shooting – a 17-16 last-second loss to the visiting Buffalo Bills.
Fans piled hundreds of bouquets of flowers outside Gate A of FedEx Field in an impromptu memorial to the slain football player.
Before the game, fans were shown a 10-minute video tribute to Taylor.
More than 85,000 fans came to their feet and applauded.
