Manhattan

The body of a homeless woman was found in Washington Square Park early yesterday, police said.

The unidentified woman, in her 40s, was discovered just before 2 a.m. at the southern end of the park near MacDougal Street. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

There were no immediate signs of trauma. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death, cops said.

A cop was arrested in Marble Hill over the weekend after he stole a bottle of cologne from a department store, authorities said.

Officer Alfredo Guerra, who is assigned to a Queens housing unit, was nabbed at the Target store on West 225th Street at 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

Guerra has been charged with petit larceny, officials said.

A straphanger has been arrested for molesting a woman aboard a subway train and beating her brother in a Bensonhurst station, authorities said yesterday.

José Pastor, 22, was riding a Manhattan-bound N train at about 7:10 p.m. last Thursday when he allegedly grabbed the buttocks of a 23-year-old woman.

After the train reached the 18th Avenue station, Pastor again grabbed her, police said.

Brooklyn

The victim yelled at Pastor, who laughed in her face and walked to the other platform, cops said.

She then called her brother, who arrived and confronted Pastor, cops said.

An argument ensued in which Pastor allegedly punched the brother in the face and threw him to the ground.

Police were called and nabbed Pastor, who was charged with assault and sexual abuse.

A Bedford-Stuyvesant store employee helped nab a shoplifter who stole gloves and tried to assault him, authorities said yesterday.

The worker spotted Michael Richie, 45, stuffing three pairs of gloves into a bag in a variety store on Fulton Street near Tompkins Avenue at about 9 p.m. last Thursday, cops said.

When the employee approached, Richie allegedly shoved him and threw punches at him.

The victim called police, and Richie was charged with attempted assault and petit larceny.

Queens

Three men were shot, one fatally, during a dispute on a Saint Albans street corner yesterday morning, police said.

The victims got into a dispute with another group just before sunrise at Baisley and Merrick boulevards.

Suddenly, one man opened fire, fatally wounding David Alston, 22, in the head.

The other victims, both in their 20s, were taken to Jamaica Hospital, each with a bullet wound to the torso.
