Cops investigating the murder of “real-estate agent to the stars” Linda Stein lied to keep their suspect’s lawyer at bay during her interrogation, according to a new bail application filed for the accused killer.
“The detectives told me that they called [my lawyer] and that they called my parents,” during 13 hours of grilling, Natavia Lowery told her then-lawyer, Gilbert Parris, according to an affidavit he filed in Manhattan Supreme Court yesterday.
No such calls were made, insists Lowery’s current lawyer, Ron Kuby.
Kuby argued Lowery’s police confession and the “waiver of counsel” she signed are invalid.
