MANHATTAN
Police are searching for the two thieves pictured above who robbed a Financial District jewelry store.
The unidentified men broke a glass display case at the shop at 176 Broadway on March 27, stole undisclosed items and ran, police said.
The crooks stand 5-foot-9 and 6-foot-1 and have medium builds.
* A construction-company employee was arrested for slashing a female co-worker in the West Village, authorities said yesterday.
David Hayes, 37, shouted obscenities and slashed the woman with a boxcutter on Hudson Street near Leroy Street at 4:45 p.m. on Dec. 20, sources said.
She tried to deflect the blows with her jacket, but the attacker slashed her across the stomach, snatched the jacket and fled, according to a criminal court complaint.
Police tracked down Hayes on April 4.
He was charged with robbery, with assault charges possibly pending.
The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
STATEN ISLAND
A Fox Hills man was busted after he molested a teenager and threatened her aunt when she confronted him, authorities said.
The suspect, Wesley Summerville, 39, recognized the 13-year-old girl from their neighborhood as he was driving along Bowen Street Wednesday afternoon and offered her a ride.
Once she was in the car, he pulled over and allegedly said, “If you have sex with me, I’ll buy you nice clothes and get your hair fixed.”
He also molested her as she attempted to flee, cops said.
The victim finally managed to get out, and she phoned her aunt to pick her up.
The aunt later went to the Summerville family home, where he threatened to shoot her with a paintball gun.
Summerville was charged with forcible touching, endangering the welfare of a child, menacing and unlawful imprisonment, according to a spokesman for DA Daniel Donovan.
BROOKLYN
Police released the above surveillance photo of a man wanted for robbing a Brooklyn Heights bank.
The bandit passed a demand note to a teller at the HSBC branch on Montague Street on April 4.
The teller gave him an undisclosed sum and he ran.
The suspect is 35 to 40 years old, stands about 5-foot-7 and weighs 200 pounds. He was wearing a black knit hat and black coat.
* A man was arrested for shoplifting from a Brownsville grocery and shattering a storefront glass window in a struggle with an employee, police said yesterday.
José Gonzalez was spotted trying to flee with ice cream and juice from the store at St. John’s Place and Utica Avenue Wednesday morning, cops said.
A security guard blocked his path, and in an ensuing struggle the two men slammed against the glass window.
Gonzalez was charged with petit larceny and criminal mischief.
QUEENS
Cops are asking for the public’s help to find the man pictured above wanted for attempting to break into an East Elmhurst home.
The suspect was caught on surveillance tape trying to force his way into the home at 105th Street and Curtis Street on April 3, police said.
He is 35 to 40 years old, 5-foot-8 with a medium build.
THE BRONX
Police are investigating the death of a toddler in Williamsbridge.
Paramedics rushed 2-year-old Khamia Sharpe to Our Lady of Mercy Hospital from her home on East 217th Street Thursday afternoon.
She died at the hospital. A medical examiner’s spokeswoman said autopsy results needed further study.
The police said there were no signs of physical trauma on the body of the tragic girl.
* Two men were fighting for their lives last night after gunfire erupted on a Wakefield street.
One man was shot in the stomach and the other in the leg at about 10 p.m. on the corner of Monticello Avenue and Edenwald Avenue, cops said.
The victims, however, were combative and uncooperative to officials at the scene, police sources said.
Paramedics rushed them to Jacobi Hospital where they were both listed in serious condition.
