Feb. 16 – If it weren’t for a pesky friend, Joseph Fortini and Holly Miller may never have dated. “We worked at the same Staten Island supermarket in 1998, but I didn’t like him at first because his friend would instant- message me, pretending to be Joe,” recalls Miller, who’s now pursuing a master’s degree in early childhood education at Touro College. “I finally confronted him about it. From there, a friendship grew. Two years later, we were in love.” Fortini, a manager for Smart Tuition, proposed in December 2006 at Rockefeller Center. They wed at Sacred Heart Church on Staten Island, followed by a reception at Fox Hollow catering hall on Long Island with 130 guests.
