QUEENS
A dimwitted ex-con was nabbed for breaking into a Forest Hills home after he dropped a letter addressed to him at the scene, authorities said yesterday.
Dennis Davis, 53, allegedly busted into a house on 110th Street near 69th Avenue by smashing a basement window between 8 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. last Tuesday.
When the woman renting the place came home, she found furniture in disarray.
She also found an envelope from the Legal Aid Society addressed to Davis, authorities said.
Cops caught up with Davis a short time later, and he admitted he broke into the home, officials said.
Davis, who had been released from jail a week earlier on an unrelated criminal-trespassing charge, has served six stints in state prison for burglary-related crimes. He has an arrest record dating back to 1986, authorities said.
He was charged with burglary, criminal trespass, criminal mischief and unlawful possession, according to a spokesman for DA Richard Brown.
* A teenager was arrested for robbing a Chinese take-out shop at gunpoint in Far Rockaway, police said.
Henry Jones, 19, pulled out a gun and demanded cash at the New Garden Restaurant at Beach Channel Drive and Beach 43rd Street last Sunday afternoon, police said.
MANHATTAN
A man was shot dead after he left a birthday party at a Harlem community center early yesterday, police said.
The 27-year-old victim, whose name was not released, was on his way home from the party at the Hansborough Recreation Center at West 134th Street and Lenox Avenue when he was shot in the chest and back at 4:24 a.m., cops said.
He was taken to Harlem Hospital, where he died less than an hour later, authorities said. Cops have no known motive or suspects.
BROOKLYN
Police are asking for the public’s assistance in finding the Crown Heights teenager pictured above.
Sana Jaura, 13, of Union Street, was last seen at 5:30 a.m. on Jan. 4, cops said.
She stands 5-feet-4, weighs 165 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes.
THE BRONX
Two men were shot to death in Wakefield, police said yesterday.
The victims, a 29-year-old whose name was not released, and another man whose name and age were not released, were gunned down in a stairwell in an apartment house on Monticello Avenue near Edenwald Avenue at 10 p.m. Friday, cops said.
The 29-year-old suffered gunshot wounds to the leg and abdomen and the other victim took a bullet in the abdomen.
Both were rushed to Jacobi Hospital, where they died.
STATEN ISLAND
A man was busted after he bit his girlfriend’s arm and threatened her with a kitchen knife in New Brighton, police said.
Ryan Wharton, 36, went into a rage after his girlfriend asked him to leave her Castleton Avenue home last Wednesday morning.
The woman called police after Wharton left and he was caught at Jersey Street and Brighton Avenue with marijuana in his pockets, sources said.
The victim was treated for minor injuries at Richmond University Medical Center.
Wharton was charged with assault, and criminal possession of a weapo.
