We’ve got some quick updates from today at Shea before John Maine’s matchup with Matt Chico and the Nationals. No Paul Lo Duca again for Washington. Here are the lineups:

Belliard 2B
Zimmerman 3B
Johnson 1B
Milledge CF
Kearns RF
Pena LF
Estrada C
Chico LHP
Reyes SS
Church RF
Wright 3B
Beltran CF
Delgado 1B
Pagan LF
Schneider C
Castillo 2B
Maine RHP
–In pretty encouraging news, Duaner Sanchez said he felt good today and is absolutely available tonight to pitch back-to-back if needed.
–Luis Castillo is in the lineup again, and Willie Randolph said he’d play his second baseman based on how he feels. Castillo has experienced soreness in his knee.
Randolph also called Castillo a “perfect” fit in the eight-hole, and I agree. He’s a disciplined hitter at the plate, he’s a switch-hitter and he has good speed. Maybe he’ll become a fixture.
