A Staten Island fat cat fell off a tin roof and down a heating shaft yesterday, and had to be rescued by construction workers and cops.
Kenya Stanislas, 23, noticed her 4-year-old tabby, Ariel, was missing, but figured he was just out on the town, since she’d left the window open.
But Ariel had slipped into a 4-by-8-inch heating vent and was lodged 20 feet down.
Stanislas called 911 and Emergency Service Unit Detectives Tony Borowiec and Dennis Canale got the contractors to cut a hole in the brick wall of the building at 100 Stuyvesant Place to access the shaft.
Borowiec then used his own tools to hack at the wood and metal and pull out 15-pound Ariel.
“It’s a good feeling,” he admitted. But he added, “I’m allergic to cats, so I’m not feeling that good right now.”
