FIDDLE STICKS TO VIOLINIST

Star violinist Philippe Quint, whose borrowed $4 million Stradivarius tooled around unnoticed in the back of a cab for a day after he left it behind, said yesterday the recovered rare instrument is now “glued to my body.”

Quint left the Stradivarius in cabby Mohamed Khalil’s minivan after being picked up at Newark Airport at 12:30 a.m. Monday and taken to Battery Park City.

After a day of frantic phone calls, Quint got back the prized Strad.

Through tears of joy, he told Khalil – who tried to refuse a cash reward – “I was thinking which way I was going to commit suicide if I didn’t find it.”
