Panic gripped Upper West Side foodies yesterday as high-end supermarket Whole Foods recalled tainted beef and the Loews Lincoln Center theater shuttered its concession stand because of health-code violations.
“It makes me sick knowing I’ve eaten all the food here before,” griped Manhattanite Nischala Dubey, 25, at the theater at West 68th Street and Broadway.
Signs were posted telling moviegoers they could bring their own food until “recent inspection issues are corrected.”
Meanwhile, tony grocer Whole Foods issued a recall for ground beef sold between June 2 and Aug. 6 after nine people were sickened in Massachusetts and Pennsylvania.
