DOES WALL ST. HATE CAPITALISM?

Thanks to The Post and Charles Gasparino for the article on the Wall Street titans and other mega-rich Americans who support Barack Obama (“Wall Street Death Wish,” PostOpinion, Aug. 4).

Many of Wall Street’s wealthy are leftists who hate the capitalist system that made them rich. Perhaps psychiatry could explain why they prefer socialism.

It should concern every investor that many of the top executives of Wall Street’s largest firms support the candidate who, if elected, would decimate Wall Street and the American economy with his high-tax, no-drilling and socialist policies.

Gasparino explains why some of the “filthy rich” on Wall Street are touting Obama’s tax plans, but what he forgets to mention is that these ultra-rich keep their money in offshore bank accounts that are not subject to US taxes.

There are too many tax loopholes for the wealthiest Americans, and the little guy who punches the time clock will always feel the tax increases from politicians like Obama the most.

Gasparino’s brilliant attack on why rich people support tax increases almost gets it.

For the past 40 years, I’ve been telling liberals that the progressive income tax doesn’t attack the wealthy, it attacks those who wish to become wealthy.

It’s amazing what happens when liberals realize how they’ve been suckered.
