Update: Tori Spelling Walks Away From ‘90210’ Spinoff
Don’t expect to see Tori Spelling on The CW’s new “90210” spinoff–at least not just yet.
Spelling has refused to appear on the show after learning her former “90210” co-stars, Jennie Garth and Shannen Doherty, are earning roughly three times more than her to appear on the spinoff, according to deadlinehollywooddaily.com.
Spelling had agreed to reprise her role as Donna Martin on an intermittent basis, but was offered $10,000-$20,000-per-episode to do so–while Doherty and Garth will earn in the neighborhood of $35,000-$50,000-per episode, according to the report.
Spelling’s reality show, “Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood,” has been a hit for Oxygen, becoming the network’s first show to snare over 1 million viewers for an episode–and Spelling wants to be compensated for “90210” on that basis.
Still, she has time to work out a deal, and could appear on “90210” later in the season.–Post staff writer
