A prisoner hanged himself in a holding cell at a Brooklyn station house when he was left alone while officers left on an urgent call, officials said yesterday.
David Sotomayor, 26, was being questioned at the 76th Precinct in Carroll Gardens for allegedly punching his 15-year-old cousin during a dispute Sunday.
He complained of feeling ill and medics were called. But a report of an officer needing help came and he was left alone. When the cops returned, they found him hanging from his shirt.
