Sen. Hllary Rodham Clinton may be the national news, but New Yorkers converging on the Sheraton hotel in downtown were suffering from term limits fever yesterday.
Several New York politicos spent much of the day gaming the odds on a term limits deal – The Post has reported that Mayor Bloomberg is eyeing a legislative maneuver through the City Council – happening in the next few months.
“I thought I was in New York,” said one delegation member.
“Everyone was saying, ‘Where’s Chris? Where’s Mike?'”
The majority opinion in the parlor-room discussions, several New York sources said, had been the odds are strong that it happens – although that’s merely the gut opinion of several longtime pols, not any developments in the city’s current political drama.
