A straight male model who filed suit after steamy pictures of him ran in a gay magazine says he’s no homophobe.
Benjamin Massing, 20, filed suit against photographer Rick Day and Genre Magazine last week, charging they published his pictures without permission.
Since news of the suit broke, the college student has been ridiculed on numerous gay blogs and blasted as a homophobe, a charge he denied in a statement yesterday.
That allegation “could not be further from the truth. The real issue is I never signed a release,” he said. “No matter what community the publication attracts, the use of my image in a sexually explicit way without my permission violated my rights.”
