“Guardian Angels” founder Curtis Sliwa tonight begins hosting a new three-hour radio show on a Boston station. Sliwa has been hired to host from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Boston’s WTKK- FM (96.6). He’ll handle the show from New York, where he’ll continue to hold down two other airshifts at WABC- AM, 5 a.m. to 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. to noon.

Band from TV, founded by “Heroes” star Greg Grunberg to raise money for the National Epilepsy Foundation, will release its first DVD/ CD, “Hoggin’ all the Covers,” on amazon.com Oct. 26. Grunberg’s fellow bandmembers Hugh Laurie, James Denton, Bob Guiney and Bonnie Somerville are all featured on the CD, which includes live performances of classic rock hits.

Former “Love Boat” star Jill Whelan will be at the Metropolitan Room (W. 22nd St.) for three Mondays – Oct. 6, 13 and 20 – with her show, “An Evening in Dry Dock.” Whelan, who played Vicki Stubing on the ABC series, mixes comedy, music and show-biz gossip into her act.
