Two young men were fighting for their lives early this morning after a raging fire tore through a Brooklyn brownstone, officials said.
Firefighters found the burned victims – one of whom was a teen – on the second floor of the building on Hancock Street near Wilson Avenue in Bushwick at 12:30 a.m., witnesses and officials said.
The victims were rushed to Wyckoff Hospital in critical condition.
“When the bodies came out, they could not be alive,” said horrified witness Charlene Odle. “One body was orange and the other was charred completely.”
A woman who lives on the first floor woke up to the smell of smoke and said the flames were so intense one of her roommates had to jump out of the window.
