Enchautegui: “Yes. Listen, I’m an off-duty M.O.S. (member of service.) I think someone broke into my neighbor’s home. There’s glass and the window’s on the floor.”
911 Operator:”OK. What the address and in what borough?”
Enchautegui: “Uh, Bronx.”
911 Operator: “What’s the address?”
Enchautegui: “3119 Arnow Place. I’m not sure if they’re still in there because uh nobody was, uh, living in there.”
911 Operator: “When’s the last time you saw your neighbor?”
Enchautegui: “What happened?”
911 Operator: “When’s the last time you saw your neighbor?”
Enchautegui: “Uh, I think he died. In March…”
911 Operator: “3119 Arnow Place..?”
Enchautegui: “Yes, ma’am. Just be advised I’m out here in plainclothes. Black coat.”
911 Operator: “All right, you’re going to meet…”
Enchautegui: “Yeah. I’m outside. Uhh, I am armed too.”
911 Operator: “What’s your name sir.”
Enchautegui: “Daniel. Last name. Enchautegui.”
911 Operator: “And you’re off-duty, correct?”
Enchautegui: “Yes, ma’am. It woke me up. I’m in my house, like right next-door.”
911 Operator: “Your name again? I’m sorry.”
Enchautegui: “Daniel.”
