Thank you, Amir Taheri, for reminding me of the baggage I’ll be getting if Barack Obama becomes president, namely Jesse Jackson (“The O Jesse Knows,” PostOpinion, Oct. 14).
I imagine that the Rev. Al Sharpton will be waiting in the wings, as well.

Doesn’t Jackson ever get tired of keeping his name in the public eye? More importantly, doesn’t the public ever get tired of seeing Jackson?
What a boastful, ambitious person. He never lets a situation get by.

How can any American Jew vote for Obama, when Jackson warns the “Zionists” that Obama, if elected, will fundamentally hurt Israel’s destiny?
I believe that Jackson is about to meet his Waterloo with such words.
Seemingly, Jackson is thinking not only to hurt Israel, but to seek revenge.
People like Jackson, who can spew such hate for our ally, disrespect our right to the freedom of speech.

Prophets have said that when the United States stops supporting Israel, we’ll be looking at very troubling times. Yet here is Jackson, telling us that Obama is not going to put Israel’s interests first.
If this does not send up a red flag, what will?
The Democrats feel that their superstar has already won the election.

Jackson finally tells us what kind of change Obama is talking about, and it’s change that we should be frightened of.
Jesse left out income redistribution and tax increases beyond anything that we can imagine.
Thankfully, Taheri lays out Obama’s policies and fleshes out the specifics – which seem to look like the economic policies that caused the Great Depression and the foreign policy of Jimmy Carter.
It’s the change that some Democrats can believe in, but should scare the rest of us to death.
