The Giants and Eli Manning reverted to their early-2007 form Monday night (“Giants Crushed in First Defeat,” Oct. 14).
But will somebody please tell me why they refuse to play their best offensive threat, Ahmad Bradshaw?

All season I’ve been saying that the Giants aren’t as good as their record indicates, because they haven’t played anyone great or even very good.
Monday night proved this.
Before you get your press passes to the Super Bowl, the Giants still have to beat Dallas, the Eagles, Washington and the Steelers.
I want to see the Giants do as well as they can, but I have some perspective.

As a longtime Giants fan, Monday night’s debacle wasn’t too surprising, it was almost predictable.
However, recent history has shown the Giants to be a resilient team. So, rather than predict the eventual demise of Big Blue, let’s hope that Monday’s drubbing serves as a wake-up call and eliminates all delusions of grandeur.
And let’s also hope that our Super Bowl champs re-emerge next week.
