Burly ex-bouncer Darryl Littlejohn took a three-day bounty hunter course in which he learned the basic confrontational skills normally taught to law-enforcement personnel, an instructor testified yesterday.
Littlejohn was given a badge following his January 2005 weekend in New Jersey training in hand-to-hand combat, speed-cuffing and how to use a baton.
“I don’t remember him personally,” said former Marine Corps MP and current Home Depot security guard Chester Pietrzak who taught the class for the now defunct US Recovery Bureau, which is under federal indictment for giving out authentic-looking badges.
The group is not affiliated with any government agencies.
Shanai Woodard, 22, has testified that Littlejohn – who is charged with kidnapping and assaulting her – dressed and acted like a law enforcement type when he grabbed her off a South Jamaica street in October 2005.
Four months later, he allegedly raped and murdered Imette St. Guillen, whom he met at the SoHo bar where he worked the door.
Woodard, then a York College student, escaped what could have been a similar fate by freeing herself from Littlejohn’s blue van.
A pair of detectives testified yesterday that his prints were all over the vehicle.
