B’KLYN GRANNY KILLED IN HIT-RUN

A hit-run driver mowed down an Alzheimer’s-afflicted Brooklyn grandma as she wandered through her neighborhood yesterday.

Bridget Morrissey, 74, was crossing 75th Street at 14th Avenue in Bay Ridge at 6:50 a.m. when she was struck by a gray car headed west, cops said.

She was declared dead on arrival at Lutheran Medical Center.

A passing motorist chased the car but failed to get its license number, neighbors said.

“I wish anybody who knows anything or has information would come forward and just fess up to it. I don’t like cowards, and God doesn’t like cowards,” said Morrissey’s daughter, Eileen Billé, 52.

Morrissey, who leaves seven children, 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, immigrated from Ireland by herself at age 16, relatives said.

She lived most of her life in Bay Ridge and worked for 30 years in Lutheran Medical Center’s kitchen.

Also yesterday, a truck struck and killed a 60-year-old man at The Bowery and Grand Street in Chinatown, police said.

The victim’s name was not released, and cops said that it appeared to have been an accident and that no crime was suspected.

In Flushing, Queens, meanwhile, an unidentified man crossing the Parsons Boulevard-Jewel Avenue intersection was struck and critically injured by a vehicle, police said.

Investigators said it was unlikely that the driver would be charged.
