The eclectic music at the Diesel show paved the runway for an equally motley collection. From jazz tunes to Nirvana, a handful of musicians set the stage for a sultry stampede of simple silhouettes. Ask a Diesel man, and he’ll tell you that flowers will be in bloom through Fall, as each of their suits and blazers were decorated with canary boutonnieres.
The somber 1930s influence on the timeless tuxedo and “Grey Felt Bowlers” paired with walking sticks and “Big Gunmetal Travel Bags” hits a little too close to home for our current financial frenzy. We don’t mind the nocturnal nightclub feel to the fabrics, but we suggest choosing a single item instead of pairing patterns. Spying on the collection from the American Express Skybox, musician Peter Cincotti tells us, “I like the mixture of styles and the hybrid of music – they’d make really great stage pieces.”
