DEALS: Half Moon Bay < $200 a night

South of the South Bay (the real one, up in Northern California, where you’ll find damn near the primest real estate abutting the Pacific), hotels are stopping just short of donating their rooms to soup kitchens. Now through the end of March — at least — nightly rates in Half Moon Bay start at $175 at the Beach House, $150 at the Comfort Inn and $130 at the Half Moon Bay Inn. Meanwhile, it’s a slightly pricier $235 a night at the Seal Cove Inn; $279 at Oceano Hotel & Spa. Even over at the Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay, where spring rates begin at $349, you get a $100 spa credit. NoCal? More like LowCal — church.
