Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver yesterday proposed an MTA bailout that includes a plan to toll the East and Harlem river bridges at $2.
Gov. Paterson, meanwhile, supports a bill implementing a plan proposed by former MTA Chairman Richard Ravitch.
Under it, East River Bridges would be tolled the same amount as the MTA’s major crossings: $5 cash each way, $4.15 for E-ZPass users. The Harlem River bridge tolls would be the price of a subway ride.
