Oh, you’re a regular riot, lady.

Linda Brown sparked a riot at a Columbus, Ohio, Burlington Coat Factory store when she announced that she had won a lottery jackpot and would pay for everyone’s purchases, police said.

Problem was, she didn’t have ANY money.

Some 500 people had filled the store and another 1,000 were trying to get inside by the time cops arrived.

Brown, 44, was arrested on three outstanding warrants, but was not charged — pending a psychiatric evaluation.

They’re prisoners of the bad economy.

Two inmates in New Hampshire recently requested that their jail sentences be extended because of the fiscal slump.

“Jail isn’t looking as bad,” one wrote.

Their requests were denied because, officials said, jail “is not a homeless shelter.”

Somehow, ACORN must have been involved.

The Alabama Democratic Party was red-faced when they mistakenly appointed a dead man to an interim party panel.

Officials said the mistake was caused by outdated records that didn’t reflect that Reynolds Smith had died at 83 last November.

The winner of a Miss Homeless contest in Belgium got a free apartment for a year. The losers got to remain out on the streets.

No word on what happens to the “winner” after the year is up.
