Bidder up for Madoff Met jacket

If you ever wondered what it would be like to play golf with Bernie Madoff’s clubs or send your Christmas greetings out on his stationery, today’s your big day.

Madoff’s life of crime will go on the auction block in Manhattan at 10 a.m. in a sell-off of the fallen thief’s treasure that the feds hope will raise at least $500,000 for his victims.

Madoff got one of the items before he ripped off his ex-pal, Met owner Fred Wilpon, for hundreds of millions of dollars. It’s a blue satin Met jacket with Madoff’s name and the number 25 stitched on it. The US Marshals, who are conducting the sale, are hoping it will fetch between $500 and $720.

The lots include a collection of 40 watches, among them an 18-carat, yellow-gold “Monoblocco” Rolex valued at up to $87,500 and a restored Rolex Oyster with an alligator strap from the 1940s worth up to $63,500.

For the ladies, there will be silver, 14-carat, white-gold, diamond earrings for between $14,300 and $21,000.

Other finery going under the gavel is a collection of furs owned by Ruth Madoff, the wife of the man who skinned so many investors. The coats include minks by Bill Blass and Alixandre.

Also up for sale are Madoff’s telescope, his cuff links and sets of golf clubs owned by him and his wife.

There are items in all price ranges. For those with a more modest bank account, the feds are selling the Madoff family’s engraved stationery for $90.

The auction is being conducted by Gaston & Sheehan Auctioneers at the Sheraton New York at 811 Seventh Ave., near West 52nd Street.
