A pregnant 24-year-old was shot in the leg last night — along with a man and a teen — during a drive-by shooting in Brooklyn, and now the life of her baby may hang in the balance.
The unidentified woman was standing inside a bodega on DeKalb and Kent avenues in Bedford-Stuyvesant at 7:05 p.m., when a man in a white Escalade drove by and opened fire at a 20-year-old man who was standing outside.
The woman, who is 5 months pregnant, the 20-year-old and a 15-year-old boy who was inside the store were all hit.
None of the injuries was life-threatening, but doctors were faced with a decision last night on whether to operate on the woman’s leg.
She could lose her baby if she goes under anesthesia, said Nora Parker, the mom of the 15-year-old, who spoke to the pregnant woman’s family.
At the same time, without an operation, she could lose her leg, Parker said.
