Pro-life’s winning politics

* Left unsaid in Kirsten Powers’ column about the abortion amendment to the House Health Care Reform bill is the fundamental problem with federal funding for abortions (“A Bitter Abortion Pill,” PostScript, Nov. 12).

I believe that killing unborn babies is nothing short of evil, but it’s not my place to force people to make choices that I agree with, and I won’t.

Ultimately, we all have to live with the moral consequences of the decisions we make. When you take my money against my will to kill babies, where’s my opportunity to make my moral choice?

* It is an outrage that Sen. Barbara Boxer has described opponents of abortion as radical. If the truth be known, it is just the reverse.

* It’s interesting that Powers refers to the Democrats who voted for the Stupak Amendment as being concerned about their re-election.

Aren’t they supposed to represent their constituents?

Statistics show that a majority of the population is pro-life, and as more people become educated on the horror of abortion, the population of pro-life voters will steadily increase.
