A man jumped off the George Washington Bridge yesterday after leading cops on a wild chase along the Palisades Parkway.
The man, whose identity wasn’t immediately released, was driving south in Fort Lee, NJ, at about 9:30 a.m. when officers tried to stop him for a traffic infraction, police said.
He stopped, but as police exited their vehicle, the driver suddenly sped away, sources said. Officers pursued him to the upper level of the bridge, where he slammed into another car and jumped out. He then climbed over the railing, plunging into the Hudson River. A search was under way for his body.
