Sure, they’re cute, but these big cats don’t play around when it comes to mealtime.
These endangered Siberian tigers are spotted going airborne as they try to jump and claw their way to a snack — a small, wild bird at the Harbin Tiger Park in northeastern China’s Heilongjiang province.
The bird nearly manages to evade the tigers and their massive paws, but eventually the felines are able to work together and successfully snare the morsel.
They likely aren’t sated, however, as the ferocious breed is known to grow to nearly 11 feet long, weighing 650 pounds, and feasting on 60 pounds of food in a single meal.
The tigers also are endangered, with only 500 still living in the wild. They are hunted in China as prizes and for their purported medicinal qualities. The preserve in Harbin is the largest Siberian tiger park in the world.
