Have it your way — with a tall, frosty brewski on the side.
Burger King announced yesterday that it will offer beer at a new twist of its traditional restaurant when it opens in Miami Beach next month.
A Whopper Bar — which offers toppings like jalapenos and parmesan peppercorn sauce for its sandwiches — will also sell aluminum cans of Budweiser, Bud Light, Bud Light Lime and Miller Lite for $4.25 each.
And, of course, there’s a bargain if it’s part of a combo order. A beer, Whopper sandwich and fries will run $7.99.
Burger King already sells beer at its restaurants in Germany, Venezuela and Singapore. But “Whopper Bar South Beach” is the first time the chain is doing it in the United States.
New York, along with Los Angeles and Las Vegas, could be the next location, Burger King honcho Chuck Fallon said.
Plans for expansion are still being worked out, but a company spokesman said pricing will vary market by market.
The South Beach branch will be a 24-7 operation, but will offer beer only from 8 a.m. to 5 a.m, when it opens in mid-February.
