Deadly melee outside China Club

One man was stabbed to death and two others were wounded during a bloody, early morning brawl outside a Times Square nightclub, police said.

Cops were called to a report of a stabbing on West 46th Street near Eighth Avenue — near the famed China Club — about 4 a.m. and found a 23-year-old man with a stab wound to the chest, police said.

A second man, also 23-year-old was found nearby and he had stab wounds to his left hip and his chest, police said. A third, believed to be the attacker fled the scene, police said.

Both men were taken to St. Vincents hospital where one died and the other was listed in stale condition.

Minutes later, cops found a third victim, a 35-year-old man with a stab wound the chest at West 45th Street and Seventh Avenue, police said. That man was taken to New York Hospital where he was also listed in stable condition, police said.

The weapon was not recovered at the scene, sources said. Blood stains were still visible on the sidewalk this morning.

It is believed that all three men had been partying in the China Club and the fight began after the crowd spilled out about closing time at 4 a.m., said sources.

It’s not clear what sparked the fight and police are searching for surveillance video in the area to help them piece together what exactly had happened. No arrests have been made, said police.

The club is a one time celebrity hot spot, popular with Hollywood types and athletes, including players from the New York Yankees.

The dead man’s name was not released pending notification of his family, police said.
