A bank robber was caught after leaving fingerprints behind at the scene of several stickups, cops said.
Terrance Gibson, 32, allegedly slipped a demand note to a teller at the Chase branch on Broadway near West 109th Street at 1 p.m. on Jan. 4 and escaped with $2,598, sources said.
Three days later, he passed demand notes to tellers at two Midtown Citibank branches, but both employees refused to hand over money, according to court papers.
Gibson was busted for drug possession in Harlem on Jan. 12, and his fingerprints matched those on the three demand notes, the sources said.
He was charged with robbery and attempted robbery, said a spokesman for DA Cyrus Vance Jr.

A pair of crooks ditched their accomplice after a knifepoint carjacking in Harlem, police said.
Courtney Brown, 21, and two unidentified accomplices grabbed a 27-year-old man on Second Avenue near East 124th Street at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, cops said.
One of the bandits pulled a knife and demanded his car keys, sources said.
The victim gave them up, and two crooks sped off in his white 2004 Cadillac but left Brown, who was pursued by police and captured nearby, sources said.
Queens
Police are looking for a hit-and-run driver who fled after striking and killing a woman standing in a northbound lane of the Whitestone Expressway early yesterday.
The unidentified Asian woman in her 20s for unknown reasons was standing on the highway. She was struck near 28th Avenue at 5:58 a.m., cops said, and pronounced dead on arrival at New York Hospital Queens.

A man was busted for shooting his brother in the face with a pellet gun and beating him in Springfield Gardens, cops said.
David DeCastro, 22, pulled the weapon and shot Andre DeCastro, 20, four times in the face and midsection in a home on 224th Street near 69th Avenue at 2:30 p.m. on Jan. 12, police said.
The suspect then dropped the gun and punched his brother in the face several times, sources said.
Andre needed stitches to close facial wounds, the sources said.
David was charged with assault and reckless endangerment, said a spokesman for DA Richard Brown.
Brooklyn
A car thief was caught in the act, thanks to a tip from an eagle-eyed neighbor in Brownsville.
Harry Cassaberry, 41, was walking along Pacific Street near Howard Avenue at 2:30 a.m. Thursday when a resident spotted him peering into parked cars and called police, sources said.
Cops spotted a 2001 Ford Econoline van with a smashed window and Cassaberry huddled in the back, police said.
He claimed he had found the door of the van unlocked and climbed in to take a nap, the sources said.
Cops found a pair of leather gloves and a screwdriver in his pocket, police said.
Cassaberry was charged with possession of burglary tools and criminal mischief, according to a spokesman for DA Charles Hynes.

A woman behind the wheel of a Porsche was busted after cops spotted her swerving and speeding toward the Verrazano Bridge toll plaza early yesterday.
Jewel Crivilli, 32, was pulled over in her 2008 Porsche at 2:10 a.m., cops said.
Officers said she had bloodshot, watery eyes and smelled of alcohol.
A Breathalyzer test found her blood-alcohol level above the legal limit, and police discovered she was driving with a suspended license, according to a spokesman for the DA Daniel Donovan.

Police arrested a man for attempting to rob a teenager at knifepoint at a strip mall in New Springville.
George Stretch, 35, approached the victim on Richmond Avenue Wednesday at 10 p.m. and pulled a knife, cops said.
“Give me your money,” he snarled at the teen, who fled.
A witness called 911 and gave police a description of the suspect.
Cops nabbed Stretch and charged him with attempted robbery and harassment, according to the DA’s spokesman.
