Graceline Court wants you to keep your New Year’s resolutions.
At least that’s the takeaway from the 16-story, 32-unit Harlem condo’s event tomorrow afternoon — a combination yoga session and healthy cooking demonstration. (Yes, the marketing in New York City real estate will always be a little eccentric.)
A battery of Upper West Side Whole Foods chefs will be doing cooking demonstrations from noon until 3 p.m. (apparently on the menu is Thai butternut squash soup). And at noon, 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. there will be a 30-minute yoga workout courtesy of Harlem Yoga Studio (you have to sign up in advance, but we’ve been assured there is still space left — e-mail Nicole Amato at [email protected]).
Oh, and if you should actually want to look at one of Graceline Court’s units — one-bedrooms start at $475,000, two-bedrooms begin at $599,000 and three-bedrooms go all the way up to $995,000 — the sales team is happy to oblige. (The building is 66 percent sold, and the developers are promising six months of no common charges.)
Over in Long Island City, L Haus is taking the opposite tack.
That’s the only conclusion we could reach when we heard that the 122-unit condo is hosting the Edible Queens food festival on Sunday.
Local eateries and “food artisans” will be present (including Manducati’s Rustica, JJ’s Asian Fusion, Sage General Store and many others). And there will be a 2 p.m. panel discussion about the glories of Queens food with Lee Anne Wong (of “Top Chef” fame), Dave Cook (of the Eating in Translation blog), Josh Ozersky (a food writer whose next gig will be OzerskyTV), Tamara Reynolds and Zora O’Neill (the co-authors of “Forking Fantastic!“) and Joe DiStefano (of World’s Fare blogging fame).
L Haus will also offer tours of the one-, two- and three-bedroom units — ranging from 675 to 1,800 square feet, and $425,000 to over $1.4 million. The building also hopes you get sucked into its 17,000 square feet of amenity space, which boasts a 10,000-square-foot yard, a roof terrace, a club room, a fitness center, a yoga room and a media room. (The event has a waiting list at this point, but to put your name down, e-mail [email protected].)
So, whether you want to be good or bad this weekend, you can check out a healthy amount of real estate while you do it.
