Danilo Gallinari is headed to Dallas next month. The NBA made its announcements this morning on the Rookie-Sophomore Team and Gallinari got the nod.
It’s an achievement considering his injury-ravaged rookie year. Now he leads the league in 3-point goals but does more than that. He’s become a force driving to the basket, drawing fouls, playing some physical defense. Now the NBA likely will invite him to compete in the 3-point shooting contest. What’s more, Gallinari will be an assistant to Nate Robinson in the dunk competition.
Not bad for the Italian Stallion, who also got another honor this week – named as one of the most-eligible bachelors by the New York Post’s Pulse Section yesterday, touting his Italian cooking.
Nets center Brook Lopez, who played for the rookies last season, was also named to the team. The Sophomore squad has won seven straight and are 8-2 overall against the Rookies team.
