Inflation rate

Consumer prices crept up just 0.2 percent in January even though economists were ex pecting a 0.3 percent in crease, while core infla tion — prices excluding food and energy — fell for the first time since 1982, by 0.1 percent.

Goldman suit

Goldman Sachs has dropped its lawsuit against seven former wealth advisers who left the bank’s Atlanta offices to join rival Credit Suisse Group and allegedly tried to persuade others to join them, calling the matter “resolved.”

UBS bonuses
