Real families stick to gether.
That’s what the cast of ABC’s “Modern Family” must be saying when it comes to submitting their names for this year’s Emmys.
All of the actors of this year’s breakout comedy are going out for the Supporting Actor and Actress categories, rather than vying for the Lead position.
Even TV veteran Ed O’Neill will submit to the Supporting category, because “he felt that nobody is bigger than anybody else in a show that is evolving into a true ensemble hit,” according to Deadline Hollywood.
Along with O’Neill, the five other adult stars who split the screen time — Ty Burrell, Julie Bowen, Eric Stonestreet, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Sofia Vergara — are hoping to get nominated in Supporting roles by the Academy.
“Modern Family,” a freshman hit, has already won a Peabody Award for “excellence in electronicmedia.”
