The Long Island “hit mom” charged with trying to kill her estranged husband was slapped with more charges today and hauled away in handcuffs.
Susan Williams, 43, pleaded not guilty to new charges of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, a felony and criminal solicitation in front of Nassau County Judge Norman St. George.
St. George also raised Williams’ bail to $2 million during a hearing in Mineola after the Nassau County DA’ s office made the request. She was led away in cuffs following the hearing.
Williams, who had been free on $500,000 bail in March, has been accused of plotting to kill her husband, Peter Williams.
Prosecutors successfully argued that Williams is a flight risk. Her next court date is May 25.
The DA also claimed that Williams asked the hit man to make her husband’s death look like an accident — and that she changed his $1 million life insurance policy before her arrest on March 4.
Williams already has pleaded not guilty to charges of second-degree criminal solicitation and second-degree conspiracy.
Nassau County prosecutors claim Williams asked a friend in February to refer her to a hit man because she wanted her husband killed.
The “hit man” — who turned out to be an undercover cop — videotaped Williams as she paid him a $500 deposit on a $20,000 to have the hit done, prosecutors said.
