Several people are in custody and more warrants are being served in connection with the death of Washington, D.C., school principal Brian Betts, myFOXdc.com reported Monday.
Montgomery County police, with the assistance of D.C. police, began serving warrants in the Washington D.C. area early Monday morning.
MyFOXdc.com’s Paul Wagner was on the scene in southeast Washington when officers served one of the warrants in the same part of the District where Betts’ vehicle was located two days after the murder.
Law enforcement sources told myFOXdc.com that two of those being sought are juveniles and two are adults.
A 46 year old woman was taken into custody. The woman, according to sources, was an accessory after the fact.
Another person, an adult male approximately 19 years old, was also taken into custody.
Montgomery County Police are looking for as many as four people in connection with the murder.
As many as seven warrants have been authorized in this case.
The motive for the murder is still unknown.
