The Olsen twins have scored a multimillion-dollar deal to sell the penthouse they bought six years ago when they thought they’d need student housing in the West Village.
The new owner, whose name was not disclosed, is the head of a New York-based hedge fund who will be moving his family into the building.
The final price was close to its current $8.45 million listing, a source said.
The child-stars-turned-fashion-designers, eternal partygoers and executives of a business empire that generates billions of dollars bought the place for $7.3 million when they thought they’d be full-time students at NYU.
But they both dropped out and never moved into the five-bedroom pad at 1 Morton Square.
They’ve been trying to sell it since 2005 — first for $9.45 million and then $11.995 million.
The 23-year-old sisters now spend most of their time on the West Coast.
