It was a tough Tuesday for players on the Buffalo Bison — the Mets’ Triple-A affiliate.
Top catching prospect Josh Thole left the game in the 11th inning after tripping over a bat while attempting to apply a tag. Thole, who was with the Mets last week when Henry Blanco was on the Bereavement List, hurt his hip and is being reevaluated today.
Leadoff man Jason Pridie pulled his hamstring running out a single and has the most serious of the four injuries, according to the Buffalo News. Shortstop prospect Ruben Tejada left the game after complaining of dizziness and Andy Green hurt his hand when he was hit by a pitch.
Insult to injury — the Bisons lost to the Charlotte Knights, 8-6.
