Timberwolves president David Kahn visited his mentor Donnie Walsh in his Garden offices last week.
“Donnie will always be a special person in my career,” Kahn told The Post. “I made a point to visit him to tell him he’s not getting [Ricky] Rubio.”
Kahn was joking, but admitted he’s concerned for Walsh and hopes the summer pressure doesn’t get to him. Walsh, 69, revealed Sunday he’s been putting off a hip replacement for six years. Walsh got reminded of it in Paris at the EuroLeague Final Four, scouting Rubio, when his hip went out.
“That’s a lot of pressure, I feel for him,” Kahn said. “He did exactly what he needed to do. Now that he’s done it, I hope the pressure doesn’t become too overwhelming because so much is riding on it.”

Utah, which owned the Knicks’ lottery pick, stayed put at No. 9. Better news for the Knicks is the Nets didn’t help their quest for James as they fell to No. 3.
