The Queens man who killed an NYPD lab technician recounted his brutality as he pleaded guilty to manslaughter yesterday.
Gary McGurk, 24, killed Michelle Lee in an orgy of violence last April, carving her up with a knife and smashing her head in with a hammer before burning her chest with an iron.
“I struck the victim, Michelle Lee, in the head with a hammer,” McGurk told Supreme Court Judge Gregory Lasak.
McGurk, who was facing 25 to life on a murder two rap, pleaded guilty to the lesser charge and three counts of evidence tampering in exchange for a combined sentence of 29 to 37 years in prison.
McGurk, who had an on-again, off-again relationship with Lee, 24, told cops they were into kinky sex. McGurk was also swindling Lee out of thousands by telling her he had cancer and no insurance.
