PSAL Class A softball playoff roundup: Concepcion leads Lewis to second round

Bianca Concepcion went 4-for-4 with a home run, four RBIs and two runs scored to lead No. 12 Francis Lewis to a 9-3 win against No. 12 McKee/Staten Island Tech in the PSAL Class A softball first round Thursday in Fresh Meadows.

Priscilla Lallave gave up three runs, one earned, on six hits and struck out six in seven innings for Lewis (8-6), which means either No. 5 Construction or No. 28 Manhattan Center in the second round Tuesday. Her sister, Samantha, was 1-for-3 with a home run, three RBIs and two runs and Katherine Doherty and Amanda Mangual added one run driven in apiece. MSIT finishes 6-12.

No. 3 Susan Wagner 15, No. 30 Hunter College HS 0: Danielle Locke went 1-for-2 with a home run and four RBIs and Taylor Sarcone pitched a four-inning one-hitter, striking out seven for Wagner (16-2), which meets either No. 14 Bushwick or No. 19 New Dorp in the second round Tuesday. Sarcone, Jennifer Greenberg and Victoria Percoco all had two RBIs each. Hunter finishes 5-11.
