The Subway Series may have as many empty seats as a Flushing-bound 7 train at 3 a.m.
Unlike last year, when the crosstown classic sold out at each park, the Mets are giving away some of their best seats to former season-ticket holders in a bid to lure them back.
At Citi Field yesterday, a ticket seller told The Post that the cheap seats were sold out and that the cheapest tickets available started at $140.
But minutes later, Larry Flores, 40, snagged a $56 ticket in Section 327 — next to the four seats he’d bought two weeks earlier.
“It does seem like they are hoarding the cheaper seats so they can sell out the more expensive seats,” he said. “But it’s a business.”
